Privacy Policy
This is the personal website of Kartik Kumar (kartikkumar.info). It is a simple static site, and I try to collect as little about you as possible. This page explains what is and is not collected.

The short version
- No accounts, no logins, and no selling of your data — ever.
- Privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics so I can see which pages are useful.
- The only personal data you actively share is your email, and only if you choose to email me.
Analytics
To understand which pages are read and how the site performs, I use:
- Vercel Web Analytics — privacy-friendly, aggregate page-view statistics. It does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.
- Vercel Speed Insights — anonymous performance measurements (how fast pages load) to help me keep the site fast.
- Microsoft Clarity — aggregate heatmaps and anonymised session insights that show how pages are used (for example, what people scroll to or click). Clarity may set cookies and is governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
This data is used only to improve the site. It is not used to identify you personally and is never sold.
Email and contact
If you email me at kartikshukla400@gmail.com, I receive your email address and whatever you write, so I can reply. I keep that correspondence only as long as needed and do not add you to any mailing list.
Cookies
The site stores a small local preference in your browser to remember your chosen colour mode. This stays on your device and is not sent anywhere. Microsoft Clarity (above) may set its own cookies; the other analytics are cookieless.
Third-party links and services
Some links lead to third-party services that have their own privacy policies, including the Chrome Web Store (for my extensions), Gumroad (for purchases such as MetaFactory Pro), and Google Fonts (for typefaces). Any payment is handled entirely by Gumroad; I never see your card details.
My Chrome extensions
My browser extensions are separate products with their own behaviour. Several of them (such as Bookmark Brain and AI Right-Click) are built to run locally on your device. For details, see each extension's listing and privacy disclosure on the Chrome Web Store.
Your choices
You can block cookies and analytics using your browser settings or an ad/tracker blocker, and the site will still work. If you would like any correspondence you have sent me deleted, just email me and ask.
Changes
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change with it.
